Because we were you once, we’ve walked in those shoes! So we understand firsthand that awful feeling of being stuck in a job you hate and not making enough money. We weren’t going to settle for that so we did something about it. 5 years later we can honestly say it has been completely life changing. We got so good at our craft and the business side of things that we wanted others to experience this same level of success, financial freedom and having a career you love! So no more gatekeeping, we want YOU to live the life you deserve and we are fully equipped with the skills, knowledge and experience to get you there.

Jenna's story
From a young age I always envisioned a career in the beauty industry. My heart has always been set on building confidence in women, and I've transformed that passion into a thriving beauty empire.
As I pursued my bachelor's degree in business, I decided to take a leap and embark on my journey as an entrepreneur, launching my own eyelash extension business. In just 6 months, I grew my weekly client base to 30-40 clients. It was a testament to the power of determination and dreams.
A year into my lash journey, I ventured further into the world of cosmetic tattooing services, expanding my horizons and unlocking new possibilities. And now, my path leads me to the role of an educator, where I aspire to empower and guide women to become their own boss.
I was proudly voted Brisbane's Best Lash Technician in 2022. This recognition drives my excitement to share every tip and trick I've gathered on this remarkable journey with my students, igniting their own lash careers. My ultimate goal isn't just to educate; it's to cultivate a vibrant community of like-minded individuals, united in their passion for beauty.

I’m South African and moved to Australia when i was 12 (2009)
I was weirdly good at long jump and competed in my state which is wild as I’m a miniature lady and would've been around 140cm at the time
When I was younger I wanted to be a bug scientist. I would go out bug hunting, capture them and study them up close with a microscope.
My most prized collection when I was a kid was different types of insects (what can I say, bug hunter! HAHA)
I was concerningly obsessed with Avril Lavigne as a child and demanded my parents called me Avril Junior
My favourite drink is a long island always
My favourite takeout is GYG chicken burrito.. Always add the gauc ;)
Spiders are my biggest fear!
If I see someone squish a spider or cockroach, i will instantly vomit non stop
My celebrity crush is Chris Brown and Channing Tatum
Megan's story
I come from a background that might seem quite different from your average beauty and lash artist. With a solid foundation in finance and a business degree under my belt, my journey to founding Cultivated Beauty Academy might appear unexpected. However, it's this unique blend of skills and passions that has led me to create a platform dedicated to empowering individuals to become proficient lash technicians and successful businesswomen.
As someone who has navigated the realm of finance and business, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of strategic planning, skill development, and goal-oriented approaches. Yet, there's a creative spark within me that couldn't be confined to spreadsheets and balance sheets alone. A spark that came alive in a beauty room. Recognising the immense potential within the beauty industry, I embarked on a mission to combine my financial acumen with my passion for beauty to create something truly impactful. A side hustle and three years later, I reached financial freedom and now own two homes, I then wanted to teach others how to achieve the same.
Cultivated Beauty Academy was born out of the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to turn their passions into thriving careers. The art of lash technology is not just about enhancing physical beauty; it's a skill that can transform lives and open doors to financial independence.
By sharing my knowledge and combining it with the artistry of lash application, I aim to equip aspiring lash techs not only with the technical skills but also with the business mindset required to flourish in the industry. Oh, and I get to do it alongside my bestie.

I’m a 29 year old, UK born girly.
I have a SICK obsession with the Kardashians and anything pop culture. Jenna often likes to use the phrase "Kris Jenner works hard, but Megan works harder" and I couldn't be prouder when I hear that lol
I have a cat named Cat and I really wanted to call my border collie Dog, but we settled with Oscar.
I LOVE maths and spreadsheets - but don't ever ask me to work something out without a calculator.
I own two properties which is a HUGE milestone for me, and I am well and truly on my way into my third (watch this space)!!
Give me Pizza, Gnocchi or GYG and I will smack it back any time of day.
I am literally the girl that constantly has a resting b*tch face but I am probably just thinking about Cultivated, or pizza... and as soon as you talk to me I'll be the smiliest gal most positive gal (too much botox, maybe?).
I wake up every single day and the first thing I say to myself is it's a beautiful day to be alive. Cringe - but I suffered massively for years with mental health and this is the one thing that has helped me be an all round happier person - trust me, try it.
